DAR member Wendy Wyman was instrumental in getting these headstones donated.  Fortunado placed the headstones to mark the graves of these Patriots.  This work is vital to honoring our American heritage and ensuring that future generations can connect with their history. The work done by Fortunato Scimeca, alongside dedicated Wendy Wyman, highlights the importance of recognizing and commemorating the sacrifices made by patriots. These efforts not only honor those who fought for our freedom but also provide crucial resources for genealogy research, allowing families to trace their roots.  By maintaining these memorials, we keep the stories of our past alive, fostering a deep appreciation for the values and sacrifices that shaped our nation.
